A note from AIM/Four Winds
Hello, AIMsters and allies,
This note is to confirm that AIM/Four Winds and other Native groups will have a combined contingent at the MLK Marade next Monday, January 20, 2020.

We will be marching to make visible issues of importance to Native peoples, and we march in alliance with a number of our longstanding community partners, including Servicios de la Raza, Four Directions March, and the Enough! Coalition.

We will be assembling about 10 am on Monday the 20th at the fountain in City Park, at 17th Avenue east of York Street, just north of East High School. A map is below. Look for the AIM banners, the Enough! Coalition banner -- bring drums, banners, and signs.
Some messages that we encourage people to make signs about are:
• MMIW - Remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls
• Solidarity with Native Peoples in Struggle - especially Wet'suwet'en and Unist'ot'en resistance http://unistoten.camp/support-us/supportertoolkit2020/
• Repeal Columbus Day in Colorado - 2020
• Support Indigenous Nations' Treaty Rights!
• Defend the Water, Air, and the Earth
or other messages of your own design.

We also encourage messages in opposition to the brutality of the Trump administration, the human right to adequate food and housing, stop the jailing of children by ICE and other immigration agencies, stop police violence, oppose Islamaphobia and anti-Semitism, resist homophobia and heteropatriarchy, fight white supremacy in all of its forms. If you have questions, you can reply to this email. We look forward to having a strong presence and good Native representation next Monday. We can use some folks to serve as security and marshals for our contingent, too. If you have AIM security gear please bring it with you.

Our Vision
We have had enough violence and injustice. This is just the beginning. Each of our communities is ready to work together to dismantle white supremacy by any means necessary. In centering the historically marginalized, we wish to celebrate our Black, Indigenous, Brown, Muslim, Asian, and Jewish folk; women; the LGBTQ+ community, the economically disenfranchised, community members with disabilities, and all intersections in between. As we seek liberation, we hope that our white allies and accomplices against white supremacy will join us.
